Remedy Medical Properties – theme update
Remedy Medical Properties needed their existing website recreated with high visual fidelity in a new, technically sound WordPress theme. The client had specific expectations around matching the look and feel of the original site exactly — while the underlying build required modernising to resolve a range of technical issues present in the legacy code.
Working from the existing site as a visual reference and from provided design files, I rebuilt the theme in Timber/Twig — replicating the established design precisely while addressing the structural and performance issues underneath. Maintaining pixel-level visual fidelity throughout a technical rebuild required careful, methodical work at every stage.
A key component of the project was the team gallery, which required custom filtering and sorting logic. Staff are filterable by department, displayed alphabetically within each view — with one important exception: senior leadership members, when present on a page, are always surfaced first and displayed in a defined hierarchy regardless of alphabetical order. This required custom query logic to handle the tiered sorting reliably across all department views.
Standard HTML semantics were followed throughout, with full responsive QA completed before launch.
Launched in 2024, the rebuilt site gives Remedy Medical Properties a stable, maintainable platform that preserves the visual identity their team was familiar with — without the technical debt of the original build.
