Colorado Horse Racing Association website design & development
Colorado Horse Racing Association came to us with a need to update their overall brand. YellowDog quickly designed them a modern new logo. They didn’t have a website, and needed to update their image from old negative associations of horse tracks, racing and other unpleasant things.
I began the design process by looking at other horse racing association websites from across the nation. I went with a bold, colorful design that emphasized speed, action and Colorado’s state colors, while avoiding stereotypical depictions of our flag all over. Teamwork, volunteerism and camaraderie were emphasized. I also created a new members portal and area where members can post their services, locations and skills to help others. Finally, we created a calendar to post upcoming events, board meetings and volunteer nights.
Overall the Colorado Horse Racing Association are very happy with their modern new site. Membership is picking up and they have a bright future in our state.
